Porsche 924 Turbo
The Porsche 924 turbo is one among the most popular automobiles ever introduced by the world renowned car manufacturing company, Porsche AG, based on Germany. These models of car were launched all over the market from the year 1976 to 1988.
Porsche executives eventually realized the customers’ demand of updated version of the earlier 924 model that could successful bridge the gab, which was noticed between the normal 924 model and the Porsche 911s. Additionally, people were also allowed to choose to include 928’s forged 16 inch flat wheels.
Since intense heat in engine bay turned out to become a serious problem over time, Porsche decide to release the revised version, Porsche 924 turbo series 2 in the year 1981. They used the rear or mid-mounted engines of the boxer configuration and all of them had been perfectly air-cooled.
Porsche AG launched the Porsche 924 turbo officially in a press conference in November 1975 at La Grande Motte, Camargue in the Southern France although most of the automobiles during that period choose to exhibit themselves for the very first time in Auto shows. The Porsche 924 turbo was a grand success and not just assisted to take Porsche AG out of the financial ruin, but also helped in generating the revenue required for getting started with the building and development process of Porsche 911. Porsche 944 finally replaced the Porsche 924 turbo model from the US market in the year 1983, but it still continued to gain popularity until 1985 in other markets all across the globe.
